Edmonds-Woodway took fourth place in the State 3A soccer tournament, losing 6-1 to Lakeside (15-6-1) in the consolation match for 3rd-4th place Saturday morning.
The Warriors lost their semifinal match 1-0 to Mercer Island Friday, which put them into the consolation bracket.
Ahmed Ahmed scored for the Warriors (17-4-2) in the 24th minute.
Edmonds-Woodway had not made it past the first round of state in three other appearances, so earning fourth-place finish was a school best.
