Screenshot (326)In recognition of National Teacher Appreciation Week and the important role that teachers play in communities, and to Celebrate National Pizza Party Day on May 20, Garlic Jim’s Famous Gourmet Pizza has chosen to sponsor this event for the 11th year through Chase’s Calendar of Events.

Garlic Jim’s is hosting a contest at its website until May 19 for customers in every Garlic Jim’s trade area to nominate their favorite teacher to win a classroom pizza party. Winning nominators will also win a free Medium Specialty Pizza.

Winners will be chosen by the quality of the essay nominating them (25-250 words) and must work at a school within a 5 mile radius of a Garlic Jim’s store. The contest will close May 19, with winners being notified by May 20 and pizza parties awarded on National Pizza Party Day, May 20. Winning teachers can choose to have their pizza party on May 20 or on any day prior to the close of the 2016 school year.

Additionally, many stores will be offering special National Pizza Party Day deals to schools and other non-profit organizations on May 20.

“We’re excited to celebrate our 11th Annual National Pizza Party Day and to honor the teachers in our Garlic Jim’s communities,” Kevin Woolley, president and CEO of Garlic Jim’s, said. “2006 was the kick-off year for National Pizza Party Day and it’s grown in popularity every year. I expect that this year will be the same as more of our customers participate by nominating their favorite teachers.”

The Edmonds Garlic Jim’s is located at 9796 Edmonds Way.
