Different uniforms, different vehicles, now Edmonds needs new colors for their police vehicles. The dominant color for the vehicles of most police forces around the world is white, so that they’re highly visible. Why do we want our police vehicles to not be very noticeable? I know that the SUV’s are painted differently, but they still do not stand out the way they should.
call me cynical but . . .
society as a whole seems to be moving toward a surveillance country, i could go on about some of what is happening, the book 1984 and “big brother” is nowhere near what we have today!
it’s easier to catch people, if you blend in.
at one time a police vehicle had a light bar, period, very visible!
as i’ve been told by police – unless you’re sure it is a police vehicle trying to get you to pull over, call 9-1-1 and ask them if it IS a police vehicle!
