Three Stages!
- Outdoor Amphitheatre
- Plaza-level Stage
- FAC Stage
Festival attendees can take in a variety of free music and dance performances during the Edmonds Arts Festival.
According to Festival Director Julaine Fleetwood, “the main venue for these performances is the outdoor amphitheater, which features traditional seating and a large grassy area perfect for sharing a blanket while listening. This large, open-air theater will host top professional, community and school performers in our region; from rock and roll, to pop, alternative, jazz, Americana and world music.
Every year the variety and quality of music at the festival gets enthusiastic reviews. A unique aspect of the Festival is the focus on the outstanding ensembles and performers from our local schools who not only perform on the outdoor amphitheater stage, but also at a more intimate stage in the Anderson Center and on the Plaza area above the Edmonds Library.”

Festival + Kids
Many of the children at the festival might be attending in order to perform or watch as their classmates perform in the many Edmonds-area school shows. But after the various kid-centered shows leave the stage, there will be plenty of appealing, colorful and engaging arts outlets for kids.
Kids Create
- Kids studio time
- Learning from artist mentors
- Face painting – an Edmonds Arts Festival tradition!
From the Edmonds Arts Festival official website we are introduced to options for kids attending the festivities – such as Kids Create, which provides children “with guided art enrichment activities and hands-on experiences, and is led and supervised by a group of artist-mentors and volunteers. Your kids will leave the “Kids Create” space with a finished art project they can proudly display at home, and the face painters always delight both kids and parents. This activity center is located on the outdoor Plaza level of the festival grounds and admission is free. Stop by with your kids during Festival weekend so they can try one or more of the fun art projects offered.”
See you at the 2016 Edmonds Arts Festival.

The shuttles drop festival goers off and pick them up between the Frances Anderson Center and the Library (Main Street side). There will be signs.
Tia, Melissa – thanks for your help!
You’re welcome. As a regular festival goer, I love the fact I can catch the shuttle in my neighborhood. Or Community Transit Route 130 bus.
