Edmonds artist sketches portraits of fallen Dallas police officers

Edmonds artist Michael Reagan, best known for his portraits of fallen soldiers through his Fallen Heroes Project, turned his attention last week to the five Dallas police officers who lost their lives.

Reagan has drawn more than 4,600 portraits, but not all of them have been of soldiers. He also sketched those killed at Sandy Hook as well as students who died in the Marysville-Pilchuck High School shootings.

On Monday, he placed the drawings of the five officers — destined for their families — in the mail. Next, he’ll started working on portraits of Baton Rouge officers killed last weekend.

  1. Thank you Mike, your gift has now be recognized locally and nationally. Let’s hope the violence and vigilantly actions stop. Like I paraphrased the late great Muhammad Ali last night – if we all practice “an eye for an eye” – soon we will all be blind.

  2. What a wonderful gift to those families, Mike. I hope there will not be a need for this in the future.
