The Edmonds Cemetery Board is hosting its 26th annual “Walk Back In Time” tour at 1 p.m. July 21, this year highlighting selected Civil War veterans’ gravesites with stories from Edmonds’ past.
Presenters will role play, pretending to be a Civil War veteran, friend or relative. This year’s presenters are Betty Deebach Gaeng, noted geologist and biographer; Larry Vogel, a local thespian and historian; Susan Bisnett, great-great granddaughter of Christopher Columbus Cook; Jerry Janacek, great-great grandson of Ira Bartholomew; and Dick Van Hollebeke, former Edmonds City Councilmember.
Attendees are invited to bring their own stories and family history to share, too. Refreshments will be served.
The Edmonds Memorial Cemetery and Columbarium is located at 820 15th St. S.W., one block north of the Westgate QFC.
