Forum for 7th District Congressional candidates in Shoreline July 16

election-2016-buttonThe League of Women Voters is holding a forum for candidates running for the 7th Congressional District Saturday, July 16, from 10:30 a.m. to noon (doors open at 10 a.m.) in the Shoreline City Hall Council Chambers, 17500 Midvale Ave. N., Shoreline.

Candidates, in the order they appear on the ballot, are:

  • Brady Piñero Walkinshaw (D)
  • Scott Sutherland (R)
  • Don Rivers (D)
  • Pramila Jayapal (D)
  • Leslie Regier (NP)
  • Craig Keller (R)
  • Arun Jhaveri (D)
  • Joe McDermott (D)
  • Carl Cooper (NP)

All candidates of all parties have been invited.

The forum, free and open to the public, is being taped for re-broadcast on King County TV, TVW, and other cable outlets.

The forum will have two segments: general questions formulated by the league, and questions submitted by those in attendance.

The seat for the 7th Congressional District, which includes Edmonds, is an open one, currently held by Congressman Jim McDermott, who is retiring after this session.
