Happening nearby: Body found in Sprague’s Pond identified, death ruled suicide

A man found dead in Lynnwood’s Sprague’s Pond last week has been identified as a 50-year-old Lynnwood man.

According to Lynnwood Police Sergeant Sean Doty, his death was determined to be a suicide.

The man’s body was found in Sprague’s Pond on June 29. An Edmonds dive team recovered the body and it was turned over to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner for a full examination.

Sprague’s Pond Mini Park is located at 5200 200th St. S.W.
