Picture-perfect evening for Cascadia Museum anniversary gala

Cascadia President, founder and host for the evening Lindsey Echelbarger opened his home for guests to view his personal collection of works by prominent Northwest artists.
Cascadia Museum Curator David Martin led tours through Echelbarger ‘s personal collection of Northwest art.
The wine toss drew lots of attention from guests as they tried to capture rare vintages to add to their personal wine cellars.

Attendees Tom and Lisa Budnick will open their new restaurant, 190 Sunset, in the Salish Crossing plaza on Sept. 8.
Special guests included, from left, sisters Lisa Hart Guthrie and Lucy Hart, joined by friend Carol Christiansen. The Hart sisters’ father, Lance Wood Hart, created the mural that now graces the entry to the Cascadia Museum. Not recognized in his lifetime, Hart’s work is increasingly valued today partly due to the work of the Cascadia Museum.
Auction items included original works by Northwest Artists including this 1977 serigraph by Jacob Lawrence.
Auctioneer and master of ceremonies Matt Smith takes bids on auction items. Smith is an actor whose most recent effort, the critically acclaimed “My Last Year with the Nuns,” is now available on Amazon Prime.

More than 300 guests joined Cascadia Art Museum founder and director Lindsey Echelbarger on Saturday evening as he opened his home to donors, supporters and friends to celebrate the museum’s anniversary in grand style.
