Edmonds Community College invites the public to a weekly farmer’s market on Thursdays from noon to 4 p.m. on the campus at the Lynnwood Hall courtyard, 20000 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood. Produce and plants available are grown as part of the SAgE Sammamish Valley Student farm, which is a collaboration that includes 21 Acres and Viva Farms. SAgE stands for Sustainable Agriculture Education, and features a farm-to-campus program where students learn sustainable agriculture practices on a farm.
Student farm products are sold to institutions, restaurants, food banks, and other area consumers. SAgE programs of study include the EdCC Urban Agriculture Program, Skagit Valley College Small Farm Agriculture Program, and Seattle Central College Food System Studies Program.
To find out more about the farmer’s market, and educational offerings, see the SAgE Student Farm website here.
