Ian Dobson’s Steel Drum Party: Equal parts performing artist, teacher, and travel guide, Ian’s musical hallmark is his ability to take disparate cultural influences and mix them together. A Seattle native, Ian Dobson’s travels took him all over Europe, Asia, South and Central America, and the United States. He earned a Jazz Studies and Percussion Performance degrees, a B.A. in History and studied music at the Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Lisbon. Deems and Side B: Seattle jazz pianist Deems Tsutakawa is a writer, arranger, producer and bandleader, as well as a solo pianist.
