Edmonds police said Tuesday there is no new update on the condition of the woman who was pinned between two parked cars on 5th Avenue South in downtown Edmonds Saturday afternoon.
However, Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Shane Hawley did say that the injured woman is 65 years old and from Edmonds. The female driver of the car involved the incident is 69 years old and also from Edmonds, Hawley said.
On Sunday, police reported that the woman was in serious condition at Haborview Medical Center “with multiple fractures of lower extremities.”
As we reported Saturday, the victim was standing or walking between two parked cars near Girardi’s restaurant around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon, when a vehicle headed southbound on 5th Avenue South hit the back of one of the cars, forcing that car into the pedestrian and pinning her between the two parked vehicles.
There is also no word yet on what caused the driver to hit the parked car.
