The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce has announced that Marc Springer of “Shipping Wars” — originally scheduled to make a guest appearance at this Sunday’s Edmonds Classic Car Show — is unable to attend due to a change in his schedule. However, the remaining events will occur as planned:

Antique Fire Engine and Moment of Silence, In Honor of 9/11
Come see an antique fire engine parked near the fountain and join in a moment of silence to honor our fallen fire fighters and emergency responders on this, the 15th anniversary of Sept. 11. (Note that Snohomish County Fire District 1 firefighters will hold a separate 9/11 memorial event at the Firefighters Memorial outside Station 17, at 9:11 a.m. Sept. 11. See more details here)

Entertainment: Miss Edmonds Classic and Elvis
Miss Edmonds Classic, Autum DeVine, will wander the show taking photos with car owners and spectators. Elvis will be entertaining the crowd at the fountain, belting out those classic hits and swinging his hips.

David Dickinson, author “Old Car Nut”
David is the author of the “Old Car Nut” series of books, which contain stories of classic cars and hot rod and the folks who drive and built them. So far, there have been three books released in the series and Dickinson will be at the Edmonds Classic with copies of all three, signing autographs and posing for pictures.

Lance Lambert, host “The Vintage Vehicle Show”
Local hot rod celebrity Lance Lambert will be at the show this year. Car enthusiasts are very familiar with Lambert, who is the host of “The Vintage Vehicle Show” as well as the author of two collections of car stories. His books, “Fenders, Fins & Friends: Confessions of a Car Guy” and “Grins, Gears & Gasoline,” are just two of the many reasons he is known as the Garrison Keillor of car stories. Lambert will be at the Edmonds Classic Car Show with copies of his books and videos from the Vintage Vehicle Show, signing autographs and posing for pictures. Learn more about Lambert at his website www.lance-lambert.com.
