All ages are invited to volunteer Sept. 17.

Ruth Arista, former owner of Arista Wine Cellars, is spearheading a beach clean-up day in Edmonds Saturday, Sept. 17, from 8:30-11 a.m.

“Us Edmonds folks will walk the beaches with people all around the world for International Coastal Cleanup Day for ocean conservancy,” Arista said. “Bring a bucket to make collection easier, gloves and come rain or shine.”

Scuba divers, boaters and beach strollers of any age are welcome, Arista said, and those who need to be seated or are less mobile can help with sorting recycling and trash. Meet at Brackett’s Landing, north of the Edmonds ferry dock, at 8:30 a.m. for check-in.
