Such beautiful pictures. I love watching the herons. We enjoy one that squawks his warning landing and take off time; in a tree next to our place. Amazing birds. Do you ever consider selling your photos.
Great shots, Bill. It was so nice to meet you in person at the Edmonds Marsh on Friday. You are a wealth of information!
Blue Heron is one of my favorite birds.
I really love the first shot! It is a blue Blue Heron!
Beautiful shots, Bill, particulately the first one. You captured the beauty and grace of the heron as it was taking off. Plus, capturing it in just the right spot, with the light on the blurred reeds in the background, really make it pop. One second or less, earlier or later, and part of the bird would have been lost in the dark areas of the scene. I’m guessing you took this in burst mode?
Thanks. I always keep my camera in burst mode and make heavy use of the “delete” function when processing the photos at home on my computer. The first photo is one of three that I saved of that particular flight sequence. I chose it to send to MEN as it showed the marsh in the background while still highlighting the bird.
Great pics Bill. Will look forward to your Annual calander. You have a passionate eye for beauty.
