Edmonds police provided a brief update Sunday on the woman who was pinned between two parked cars on 5th Avenue South in downtown Edmonds Saturday afternoon.
According to Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Shane Hawley, the woman is in serious condition at Haborview Medical Center “with multiple fractures of lower extremities.”
As we reported Saturday, the victim was standing or walking between two parked cars near Girardi’s restaurant around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon, when a vehicle headed southbound on 5th Avenue South hit the back of one of the cars, forcing that car into the pedestrian and pinning her between the two parked vehicles.
Police have not yet released the exact age and city of residence of the victim, as well as that of the driver, or the cause of the crash. On Saturday, Hawley described the victim as being “in her 50s or 60s” and the driver as a woman in her 60s.
