A day to celebrate trees in Edmonds

Volunteers from the Edmonds Tree Board and Faith Community Church joined City Parks Maintenance staff on Saturday morning for the second try at this year’s Arbor Day celebration. Originally scheduled for Oct. 8, the planting was postponed due to forecast high winds and storm warnings. Participation in Arbor Day helps Edmonds maintain its “Tree City USA” status from the Arbor Day Foundation. This year’s planting was along the new access road and footpath connecting Pine Ridge and Yost Parks near the intersection of Pioneer Way and Main Street in the Five Corners neighborhood.
