The Foundation for Edmonds School District announced Tuesday that $90,000 was raised during the 8th Annual Celebrate Schools 5K run earlier this month at Alderwood Mall.

Twenty participating schools qualified to share 50 percent of the proceeds to be used for school-wide grants on their campuses. The remaining proceeds will be used to support the foundation’s programs that benefit student learning including Creative Classroom Grants, College in High School Tuition, Afterschool Study programs and Summer Math Support.
