Operation Kidsafe, a free digital fingerprint and photo safety program for children and their families, will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14-15, at Doug’s Lynnwood Mazda at 22130 Highway 99 in Edmonds.
Specialized digital imagery equipment will capture a child’s photo and fingerprints, and it will be compiled into an 8 1/2-by-11-inch printout. Parents take home the only record of the visit, which is ready to hand to law enforcement in an emergency. Tips to start a family safety action plan are also included.
The event is free for every family. It will run from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
