Concerned about how you will handle retirement and aging? Come hear local experts talk about this topic during the second annual Aging With Dignity Forum at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Edmonds Senior Center.
Speakers include Peter Harvey, CFP, MBA, financial advisor; Peggy Sanders, elder law attorney, Sanders Law Group; Kathy Kappler, RN, Concierge Care Advisors; and J. C. Barr, Manager, Beck’s Tribute Center.
This forum is designed to provide insight into the possible challenges of aging:
-What comes next?
-Will you run out of money?
-Will you lose your independence?
-Will you need to care for loved ones as well as yourself? If so, proper planning can reduce the anxiety, stress and financial burden.
-Will you need extended care? Seven out of 10 individuals over 65 will need long-term care and of those, 40 percent will need care for two years or longer. Proper planning can reduce the enormous cost of long term care.
