Best in Show went to Finnegan, a very convincing Jimi Hendrix.
Most original went to Custard who came as a pop-tart.
Amadaya and Bear took second-place honors as Batman and Robin.
Auggie, resplendent as Richard the Lionheart, took top honors as “most unusual.”
Captain Morgan and his human showed up a new breed of Pokemon, a Newfie-chew.
A host of raffle baskets were available for bidding, with all funds raised supporting Off-Leash Area Edmonds.
Postponed from it’s original date due to weather, the Off-Leash Area Edmonds (OLEA) annual Halloween Howl brought out dogs and their owners in a range of costumes to compete in several categories Saturday.
“We were a little apprehensive with this morning’s wind and rain,” said event organizer Edmonds City Councilmember Diane Buckshnis. “But the rain stopped early, and then the sun broke out. It was a fantastic day for dogs and their humans.”

Good to see that the postponed event was a success.
What fun costumes!
Great pictures Larry! It was a lot of fun and we made over $600 to help fund the plastic bags supplied for park users and their four-legged friends and to help fund the K-9 Veterans’ statue for our Edmonds’ Veterans Plaza! Woof!

It was lots of fun! Look forward to participating again next year and seeing all of the great costumes.
Thanks a ton Diane for organizing and making sure the event happened even with the need for the reschedule.
