Kindle prizes for Friends of Edmonds Library creativity participants

Community members enjoyed the Libraries Inspire Creativity event sponsored by the Friends of the Edmonds Library/Symetra at the Edmonds Library Thursday night.

Participants of all ages — from children to seniors — were asked to bring an entry to the library that showed their creativity, and they received a free raffle ticket and a chance to win a Kindle. All entries were displayed as part of the Friends of the Edmonds Library pop-up museum of exhibits celebrating community creativity.

Congratulations to all the winners who can now access library resources on their new Kindles: Elliot Blauvelt, Alexa Szilassy, Kayleigh Eckhardt, Rosa Gibbons, and Lesly Kaplan.

The Friends of the Edmonds Library also offered a “thank you” to Ashley Clemmer for providing gourmet cupcakes and Lynda Hughes for supplying the coffee. After the event, library fans and those participating in the Thursday Art Walk enjoyed smooth jazz sounds by Hot Club of Troy.
