The Global Affairs Center at Shoreline Community College, directed by Edmonds resident Larry Fuell, will present a free program featuring Dr. Gloria Burgess, President and CEO, Jazz Inc. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 12:30-1:20 p.m., Room 9208 on the Shoreline CC campus.
A pioneer in human dynamics and leadership, Burgess — who lives in Edmonds — will speak on “The Courage to Live with Purpose and Passion.”
The author of several popular books, including Flawless Leadership, Dare to Wear Your Soul on the Outside, and Legacy Living, Burgess focuses on how we can be our powerful, authentic selves in how we live, lead, and serve.
Burgess was the driving force behind the fundraising that was required in order to bring to Seattle in 2016, the Landfill Harmonic Orchestra, a children’s orchestra in Paraguay that plays instruments literally made from trash.
This event is being co-sponsored by the Global Affairs Center and the Multicultural Center
The event is free, but registration is requested at this page.
Gloria is a wonderfully inspiring speaker and wise woman. Well worth hearing what she has to say.
I had the good fortune to hear Gloria speak at a Management Leadership education forum in Seattle. Gloria is a wise woman with a compelling message. I experience Gloria as a gracious and generous soul. Seize this opportunity to hear her! Unfortunately I will be away that evening. Will have to be there in spirit.
