Edmonds Community College’s 50th birthday is being marked with a year of events, including a festive gala coming April 2017 at the Future of Flight. In preparation, Edmonds Community College Foundation is seeking volunteer table captains for the gala. To find out what it takes to be a party table captain, volunteer Meg Rankin provided this note:

“I have been a table captain for over five years, and this is the college’s biggest celebration yet. This is a celebration of 50 years of the college being here – and we are celebrating the future!

“The money we raise each year goes to support the students, faculty, and college. The college has programs in everything from family education, where parents get hands-on learning with their children, to culinary artssustainable gardening, and STEM programs that prepare community members for rewarding careers.

“There are so many ways for people to be involved. You can be part of the gala committee or come to the party, donate an item, or do all three. I hope you join us at the celebration.”
