EdCC Horticulture hosts wreath-making event Saturday

Edmonds Community College Horticulture Department invites the public to their greenhouse for a day of wreath-making on Sat., Dec. 3, from 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to use one of three craft machines, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors can call ahead at 425-640-1614 for more details, and to find out if a machine is available. The college is located at 20000 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood. Look for signs pointing to the greenhouse on the northwest side of campus.

If you are interested in a horticulture career, the EdCC instructors are known for their commitment to sustainable practices. Instructor Gayle Larson, a certified professional horticulturalist, was recently featured in a Capital Press article. She will teach HORT 255A Vegetable Production for the winter quarter, which begins Jan. 6 and continues through March 21.
