Edmonds QFC to offer online ordering and store pick-up service starting Dec. 9

53551a4984ae2db2ade0686eStarting Friday, Dec. 9, customers at the Edmonds QFC will be able to order their groceries online and then pick them up at a store drive-thru location.

The new program is called ClickList, and here’s how it works: The customer can place an order at www.qfc.com/onlineshopping and pick it up at the store, located at 22828 100th Ave. W. The program is currently focused on grocery/food items, including fresh produce, meat and seafood, dairy and frozen products.

Pick-up hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. The customer chooses a day and a one-hour time slot during which he or she will pick up the order at a store drive-up location, and pays for the order using credit card or debit card. The online shopping fee is $6.95 per order, but the fee will be waived for a customer’s first three orders.

According to a store announcement, this will be the second QFC store to offer the ClickList program. The North Bend QFC store opened its ClickList location in September.

“It’s an initial investment of about $280,000 for us to get ClickList going at a store,” said QFC Community Affairs Specialist Zach Stratton. “We are starting at the Edmonds location with 14 net new jobs, and then we’ll add more as the business grows.”

“We are the only ones in our market to offer this kind of service,” Stratton said in an email. “There is online ordering that’s delivered; and there are lots of retailers that offer online ordering and in-store pickup for party/catering orders; but we haven’t found anyone who offers the customer their complete grocery list for online order and pickup, saving the time of going into the store and shopping.”
