ECA plans extravagant lawn party as welcome to Scotland’s “Skerryvore” band

“Experience Scotland!” is the rallying cry as Edmonds Center for the Arts prepares for an invasion of Scottish band, “Skerryvore”, which hits town on Wednesday, Aug. 23 as a stop on their 2017 international tour.

For a wee bit of Scotland – and to welcome Skerryvore Band to our fair city – the Edmonds Center for the Arts team has planned a rallying lawn party and evening extravaganza which begins as a Happy Hour at 6 p.m. and concludes at 7:30 p.m. as the band prepares to take the stage.

To start the party, ECA enthusiasts will gather around lovely, skirted bistro tables set out on the welcoming concourse as the Northwest Junior Pipe Band marches in to join the festivities. The evening’s signature cocktail, “Edinburgh Mule” will be available from ECA’s skilled bartenders.

The Scots are all about blending lawn games into their outdoors parties, so the ECA will have a giant Jenga set up for those in a rousing rowdy good mood; and Connect Four if you want to mix luck with skill.

At 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23, Skerryvore ticket holders will tumble in, find their ECA seats and begin the stomp and shout as the band enters the stage to show the Puget Sound all that Scotland has to offer in the way of musical talent.

Tickets to experience this extravaganza of a Scots-Kind-Of evening are available at this ECA link.
