Edmonds police blotter, Aug. 15-22


Aug. 15

300 block 6th Avenue North: A man who appeared to be concealing a weapon under his shirt was contacted in the Taste of Edmonds beer garden.

100 block Sunset Avenue North: A suspicious subject was possibly using narcotics at a sidewalk table in front of Waterfront Coffee. No evidence was seen upon contact. The subject, who was identified as a missing person out of Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, refused assistance and was cleared as missing.

24100 block 102nd Place West: Paperwork was stolen from a vehicle.

220th Street Southwest/I-5: A purse was found.

21300 block 84th Avenue West: A house was burglarized and a shotgun taken.

20700 block 78th Place West: A chronic runaway left home without saying where she was going. She has not returned home.

23000 block 94th Place West: Police responded to a custody dispute over a 2-year-old child that included parents, grandparents and aunts. The child’s mother was arrested on a confirmed misdemeanor warrant and the child was given to the father.

20400 block 76th Avenue West: A subject was arrested on outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants and booked into Snohomish County Jail.

Aug. 16

7300 block 213th Place Southwest: Police responded to a report of verbal domestic violence.

8100 block 236th Street Southwest:  Police arrested a man for felony domestic violence and while booking him, discovered he had narcotics on his person.

21500 block Highway 99:  Subjects refused to leave property after being asked two times.

22700 block Highway 99: A business was burglarized. A suspect was located later in the day and booked into Snohomish County Jail.

20800 block 76th Avenue West: Suspect attempting to gain entry to a truck damaged it by prying the driver door lock and pulling car horn wires while reaching through the front grill.

250 5th Avenue North: A found wallet was turned into the police station.

8200 block 200th Street Southwest: Residential burglary reported. A suspect vehicle was observed by a witness.

9600 block Firdale Avenue: An expired driver’s license, an old Costco card and a partial address book were found in a plant watering can in front of a business at Firdale Village business complex.

23000 block 75th Avenue West: A rifle was given to the police department for destruction. It belonged to the subject’s father, who passed away.

7300 block 213th Place Southwest: Subject was arrested for stalking and domestic violence stalking.

22200 block Highway 99: Police responded to an attempted suicide at Emerald Best Motel.

21500 block 73rd Place West: Police received a report of a vehicle stolen by known subjects over two months ago.

22800 block 76th Avenue West: Mother took 5-year-old daughter from home. Father was concerned due to the mother’s past mental health issuees.

8201 block Lake Ballinger Way: An unknown person opened a Flickr account in the reporting party’s name and posted pictures of children in various stages of undress.

Aug. 17

9500 block 240th Street Southwest: Graffiti was found on roof and mailbox of the temporary Mountlake Terrace Elementary school in Edmonds. There were no suspects and the graffiti was cleaned off after reporting.

9600 block 220th Street Southwest: A message was scratched into elementary school windows

23900 block Highway 99: A subject was found deceased in motel room.

20000 block 81st Avenue West: A bicycle was found in bushes in front of house.

100 block Sunset Avenue: Victim reported that an employee who does remote work in  Colorado had broken off all contact with employer. Employer was advised that the employee has computer equipment and lost sales totaling thousands in loss to the business.

200 block 4th Avenue South: Police received report of attempted digital use of a credit card, with no financial loss

17100 block 69th Place West: A suspicious email was sent to reporting party

24100 block Highway 99: A suspicious vehicle led to a felony drug arrest.

500 block Elm Way: An intoxicated adult male got into a verbal argument with his wife.

Aug. 18

19200 76th Avenue West:  A traffic stop resulted in a drug-related DUI charge.

23800 block Highway 99: A suspect took food without paying.

7300 block 213th Place Southwest: A physical domestic dispute between an adult woman and man resulted in arrest and booking of the woman.

400 block 5th Avenue South: A nylon satchel found in a parking lot beside a business was turned over to Edmonds PD for safekeeping.

23900 block Highway 99: A man reported his vehicle was stolen.

800 block 9th Avenue North: A traffic stop led to a DUI arrest.

23600 block Highway 99: A vehicle prowl was reported.

Aug. 19

6600 block 220th Street Southwest: Edmonds police responded to assist with shooting in Mountlake Terrace.

21900 block Highway 99: A woman reported her cell phone was stolen from a grocery store check stand, after she accidentally left it there.

600 block Main Street: A man threatened a fellow resident of his condominium complex.

224th Street Southwest/Highway 99: A traffic stop led to a DUI arrest.

24100 block Highway 99: A woman was arrested for shoplifting and an outstanding warrant.

600 block Alder Street: Police responded to a disagreement over a parenting plan.

Aug. 20

24300 block Firdale Avenue: A vehicle with key inside was stolen out of an owner’s driveway.

23200 block Highway 99: Stereo equipment was stolen out of a vehicle.

8600 block 238th Street Southwest: A pressure washer was stolen out of a van.

800 block Driftwood Lane: Online identity theft reported.

21500 block 73rd Place West: A woman was arrested for fourth-degree domestic violence.

24100 block 88th Place West: A subject with a suspended license and warrant fled from a vehicle in presence of police.

Aug. 21

9300 block 224th Street Southwest: Graffiti was discovered in a roadway.

9300 block 244th Street Southwest: A verbal dispute was reported between boyfriend and girlfriend

20000 block 81st Avenue West: Reporting party told police he believes an attempt was made to open a credit account in the name of his deceased wife.

9500 block Bowdoin Way: A bike was found in the park.

8100 block 215th Street Southwest: Police performed a welfare check on a woman after a friend reported she believed the woman was in crisis.

23600 block Highway 99: A suspect suspected of shoplifting from a store was arrested at a motel.

16100 block 72nd Avenue West: Suspect overpaid the victim with a fradulent cashiers check in an attempt to get the victim to cash the check and send overpaid funds back.

Aug. 22

23500 block 32nd Avenue West: Edmonds PD provided a K9 assist to Brier PD for an attempted residential burglary.

8500 block 244th Street Southwest: Police contact with a suspicious vehicle resulted in arrests for warrants and narcotics.

100 block West Dayton: A domestic disturbance was reported.

20800 block 76th Avenue West: Attempted burglary reported at two neighboring units.
