Anchor Chic Consignment celebrates its first anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 25, and owner Elizabeth Le invites regulars and new shoppers to swing by from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for treats, drawings and prizes.
Owner Elizabeth Le founded the store to take women’s resale to the next level, and is hosting the party with co-manager Sheila Cloney “to thank all of the Edmonds fashionistas for welcoming Anchor Chic Consignment to town. We are proud to be part of a community that supports its vibrant downtown. We hope to continue to be part of what makes downtown Edmonds special for residents and visitors.”
Their first day in business stands out. The store was filled with half-dressed mannequins, and despite a mini-refrigerator and ladder blocking the entrance, a stream of women started coming into the shop. One customer said she had monitored the progress from the day the windows were first papered over for remodeling – and decided she was going to be the first one in the shop. She gave the store its first dollar, which Le and Cloney look at daily.
The first anniversary party may result in the same type of shopping fever.
Anchor Chic Consignment is located at 529 Dayton St., Edmonds. To learn more about the shop, see the website here.
