Reminder: Santa’s Elves needed for Edmonds United Methodist Church Toy Shop

The annual Christmas Toy Shop at Edmonds United Methodist Church, which invites parents in need to attend a one-day event where they choose gifts for their children, needs volunteers.

Over 1,000 children benefited in 2016 from donations of time and toys. Volunteer to help setup the Toy Shop on Dec. 7 and 8, at the Toy Shop event on Dec. 9, or at the Alderwood Mall Sharing Tree. There is also a strong need for volunteers to help translate for Spanish- and Russian-speaking families during the registration process Nov. 28 and Dec. 5, and at the Toy Shop event on Dec. 9.

Sign up online to volunteer at www.edmondsumc.org/toyshop.

Donations of new or gently used toys and gifts are also accepted.  Bring your donations to the Edmonds United Methodist Church lobby and place them in the red barrel next to the office. If you  need gift suggestions, visit the Toy Shop Giving Tree inside the church’s main red door entrance. Pick a tag from the tree and return the unwrapped gift with the tag attached to the red barrel.

Red collection bins can also be found at Harbor Square Athletic Club, Walnut Street Coffee, and Pancake Haus in Edmonds. If you’re running short on time, go to edmondsumc.org/toyshop and click the link to donate via the amazon.com Wish List.

If you have questions, or would like to volunteer in other ways, contact the church office at 425-778-2119 or email edmondstoyshop@gmail.com.
