Hunni Co at Edmonds’ Salish Crossing was the site of a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) cultural celebration called the Catrina Convention last weekend. “This was the fourth year for the event and there were about 45 local women who came together in celebration of lost loved ones,” said Kelsey Foster of Edmonds, who attended. “The event also raised $800 for earthquake relief in Mexico.”

Rocio Escandon, who hosted the party, led everyone in a ceremony at a community altar/ofrenda to honor loved ones who’ve passed, Foster said.
