Firdale Village Shopping Plaza has a history in Edmonds, built in 1966 as an Arts Center. It has gone through good times and not-so-good times over the years. Today it is thriving and vibrant, and we are always hearing how more people need to know about us.
Firdale Village Shopping Plaza is located in Edmonds. We are not located in the scenic tourist area of downtown. What we are is an eclectic array of small, locally-owned businesses.
Firdale Village is located just a few blocks west of Highway 99 and less than 10 minutes from I-5 or the Edmonds/Kingston Ferry dock and downtown Edmonds. The odd Colonial-style buildings on a sharp curve of a forgotten thoroughfare is home to 25-plus businesses ranging from restaurants to physical fitness to pet- related shops. Most are service-oriented but the variety of services and products in our little Village is unlike any other. Plus we have ample parking — door-to-store parking.
On any given day, a visitor may hear vocal rehearsals from the live theatre, see a doggie fashion show at the restaurant that caters to canines, or marvel at the aquariums full of beautiful fish. The smell of pizza and Indian spices from the restaurants will instantly make your mouth water. =Cats are toted to and from our resident cat grooming salon for their spa days and dogs lumber into and trot out of the canine water therapy pool.
If those aren’t your thing, you will also find a Buddhist center, Jiu-Jitsu and wine shop. I can guarantee we aren’t the kind of shops that you will find at any mall. Plus we are all local entrepreneurs that have a stake in our community and care about the people we serve.
So we hope you will come and visit the Village and enjoy a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else. Gift certificates are available at nearly every shop in the Village.
