Prep boys wrestling: Warriors take team title in Brian Hill Tournament


Edmonds-Woodway boys wrestling had four individual champions and won the team title at the Brian Hill Tournament Wrestling Tournament at Eastside Catholic H.S. on Dec. 27. The Warriors scored 171 team points to win the title, outscoring second place Bellingham by 10 points.

Winning championships for E-W were Baylor Denkinger at 106 lbs, Grayson LeCompte at 132 lbs, Salihou Fatty at 145 lbs, and Cole Hadaller at 152 lbs.

Also placing for the Warriors were: 106: Reece LeCompte-3rd; 120: Emmanuel Boakye-Ansah-3rd, Ousman Fatty T-3rd; 145: Thomas Christin-Eriksen -3rd; 182: Josh Brown T-3rd; 220: Generous Yeh-2nd.
