Reminder: NPR’s Canote Brothers to perform Dec. 2 at Edmonds Library

The Canote Brothers

The City of Edmonds Arts Commission, Edmonds Library and Friends of the Edmonds Library’s free-admission music series, “Music at the Library,” continues in December with The Canote Brothers at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.

The Canote Brothers are Seattle’s identical twin brothers Greg and Jere Canote, best known as the side-kicks on NPR’s Sandy Bradley’s Potluck. The Canotes demonstrate their love and mastery of vintage American styles, from fiddle tunes and country songs to novelty numbers and swing, with a performance known for its high spirits, quirky humor and expert musicianship.

Along with the many concerts and festival appearances over the years, the brothers have performed on A Prairie Home Companion, Fiddle Tunes Festival in Port Townsend, Gurten Fest in Bern, Switzerland, Vancouver BC Folk Festival, New York City Folk and Heritage Festival, and Carter Family Fold in Virginia.

The concert will be in the Edmonds Plaza Room, 650 Main St., above the Edmonds Library.

Admission is free
