Reminder: STRUM to perform at Spud Jan. 13 fundraiser to benefit King’s Schools


Coming up Saturday, Jan. 13 at Spud Fish and Chips in Edmonds: STRUM: Seattle’s Totally Relaxed Ukulele Musicians will perform from 4-7 p.m. as a fundraising event for King’s Schools athletic programs.

“Spud is grateful to all the crew that works for us from King’s and we are excited to give back to their school,” Spud said in an announcement, adding that King’s Schools Sports Programs will receive 10 percent of the event proceeds.

Founded in 2013, STRUM consists of Ukecrazy individuals of all ukulele playing proficiencies. STRUM is a local favorite, playing farmers markets, assisted living communities, the annual Edmonds Clam Chowder Cook-Off, Pike Place Market “Magic in the Market” Holiday festival, the Great Wallingford Wurstfest, Issaquah Salmon Days, Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park and other Seattle-area events.
