Photographers Doug Parrott and Joe Scordino were at the Edmonds Marina Monday afternoon when a beaver was spotted swimming there. “Although beavers are a freshwater species, it doesn’t mean they won’t wander into marine waters occasionally,” said Scordino, a retired fisheries biologist.

That is very cool…thanks for sharing
About six years ago a young beaver made its way to our garden up along a stream which is connected to Hindley Creek. It had to go under Olympic Ave. via some pipes to get there. It loved our neighbor’s photinia and our red twig dogwoods, native hazelnut and two service berry trees. We were allowed to have it trapped and relocated. It was very cute. I had thought that mountain beavers were the only animals doing damage to our native shrubs and trees
Great find! I have never seen a beaver here.
