The Global Affairs Center at Shoreline Community College, directed by Edmonds resident Larry Fuell, will present a program, “Study Abroad During a Political Crisis,” Thursday, Feb. 8, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Shoreline CC’s 9000 Building, Room 9208.
The voters of the province of Catalonia voted for independence from Spain at the end of 2017, and Shoreline English Professor Jeannette Idiart was there with a group of students on a quarter-long study abroad experience. Idiart will explain the historical and cultural context of the vote for Catalonian independence; students will describe their first-hand experience watching history unfold.
The program is open to the public and free but registration is requested by clicking here. There is a small fee for parking on campus.
