Updated at 10:30 a.m. with additional details.

After a search, Edmonds police said they were unable to locate a suspect Thursday morning in the Point Edwards area for a suspect who fled from a stolen car.

Police describe him as a white male, unshaven with red hair, possibly wearing a white hat, with a beard, white top and blue jeans. Police ask that you call 911 with any information.

According to Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Shane Hawley, a Point Edwards resident called police after being followed into a secured parking garage.

The resident “didn’t think that seemed right, so called police,” Hawley said. Further investigation revealed that the car was stolen, and Edmonds police as well as the Snohomish Count Sheriff’s Office — including a K-9 unit — launched a search for the car’s driver, who fled the scene.
