Edmonds’ Holy Rosary Parish is hosting a presentation Thursday, March 22 on world water scarcity and how the work of local non-profit Water Access Now is making a difference in Ghana, Africa.
A partner of Catholic Relief Services, Water Access Now is a program of Kirkland parish St. John Mary Vianney. The program sponsors the removal of killer parasites from drinking water and funds well-digging, so that young girls can attend school now instead of carrying buckets of water to their villages.
Speaker Jan Kline, co-founder of Water Access Now, will present details about the program to Holy Rosary parishioners and the public on World Water Day, March 22, at 7 p.m. in the church’s Pastoral Center, 630 7th Ave. N., Edmonds.
Music by the Palindrome Trio will precede the program, and all ages are invited. Popcorn will be provided.
