A public hearing to amend city code so that nonprofit and volunteer groups could remove vegetation — with city oversight — in specified critical areas is among the items before the Edmonds City Council during its Tuesday, April 3 business meeting.

The council will also receive an update on the Edmonds Street Waterfront Connector Project and the annual report from the Edmonds Cemetery Board.

Another item of interest Tuesday night: a presentation regarding a feasibility analysis for future redevelopment in the Five Corners area.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Public Safety Complex, 250 5th Ave. N. You can see the complete agenda here.

  1. I hope they start with Yost Park. That way it wouldn’t be as accommodating to the drug users and sellers. That can’t hide as well..

  2. Where in Yost Park do drug dealers hang out? That’s news to me, I am in there quite often and I never find evidence of anything but teenagers up to the usual teenager stuff.

  3. What do you mean “they can’t hide as well..”. Hide in Yost Park? Do you propose clear cutting Yost Park? Now that’s an idea… (not).
