Edmonds author to host book signing May 11 at Senior Center

Ingrid Wolsk

Edmonds author Ingrid Wolsk will be doing a reading/book signing of her novel, “The Secret of Anja,” from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, May 11 in the library at the Edmonds Senior Center, 220 Railroad Ave.

When a young woman visits Prague in 1938 for a month-long vacation, she has no idea what lies ahead. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she is stranded and unable to leave. Her visit is extended to 1939 when the city is invaded by Germany. Her exploits become far more complex than the simple visit of a tourist. She is desperate to leave and enters a dangerous liaison for her survival. She finds instincts she never knew she had and strength she never knew she’d need.
“Your presence is welcomed to participate in telling of your experiences during that period or that of your parents or siblings,” Wolsk added.
