Edmonds-Woodway High School students are joining schools across the U.S. at noon Friday, April 20 in a student-led walkout commemorating the 19th anniversary of the Columbine shooting, and they are inviting the community to join them.

“Students are tired of the senseless death, and they need to create a change,” an announcement from student organizers said.
Community members who wish to participate are invited to wear orange to honor the victims, and carry signs if they would like to, the organizers said.

The walkout is scheduled to begin at noon, when students will gather at the intersection of 76th Avenue West and 212th Street Southwest outside the high school.
