Michelle O’Malley, a second-grader at Edmonds’ Holy Rosary School, was among 17 students who won awards in Snohomish County PUD’s 2018 art and photography competitions.

The contests are designed to engage students and the community in energy topics. Students from 35 local schools submitted entries this year.

Michelle won for her entry in the art contest, which challenged students to create a poster with the theme of “PUD in your community.”

The winners of the competitions will be recognized at the April 24 PUD Board of Commissioners meeting. The art and photography contest winners’ entries will be on display through Friday, April 27 in the lobby of the PUD’s Everett headquarters at 2320 California Street.

You can see a gallery of all winning submissions here.
