Shoreline CC’s Global Affairs Center launches spring quarter program series April 12


The Global Affairs Center at Shoreline Community College, directed by Edmonds resident Larry Fuell, has announced its spring quarter Great Discussions schedule, starting with a program on South Africa’s Fragile Democracy Thursday, April 12.

All programs will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, April 12-May 31 in Room 1010(M).

The programs are:

April 12            South Africa’s Fragile Democracy

April 19           Russia’s foreign policy,

April 26           China and America

May 3              Global health: progress and challenges

May 10            Media and foreign policy

May 17             U.S. global engagement and the military

May 24            Turkey: a partner in crisis   

May 31             The waning of Pax Americana?

Attendance is limited, and there is a small registration fee that covers the cost of briefing materials received by the participants.  Register online at
