Scene in Edmonds: Sunday sipping at chamber event

Patrons sipped their way through fine wine, beer and spirits Sunday night during a brand-new Edmonds Chamber of Commerce event: “Decant Edmonds: a festival of fine wine” at the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

Attendees enjoyed tastes from 12 wineries, two breweries, a hard cider producer, and gin and vodka distilleries, plus light appetizers provided by local caterers Shooby Doo and Chef Dane. A variety of beverages were also available for purchase, to be taken home and enjoyed later.

The event was co-sponsored by the Edmonds Center for the Arts, which provided the event location. Event proceeds will support the chamber’s community celebrations such as An Edmonds Kind of 4th, Classic Car Show, Halloween Trick-or-Treat and Tree Lighting Ceremony.

  1. We really enjoyed this event and the beverages were very tasty! Music was great too! I would love to this become a regular thing.
One suggestion though. There could have been more food items. The snacks that were there were delicious however, when folks are tasting Wine, Spirits and Beer, they need something to eat and cleanse the palette. Maybe the Cheesemonger could set up at the next event? Cheese and crackers are always a good choice when ‘tasting’!
Thank You for a great evening!
