Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation makes $50K gift to Edmonds Waterfront Center


The Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation presented a gift of $50,000 to executive and board members of the Edmonds Senior Center toward funding of the new Edmonds Waterfront Center. This gift is dedicated to establishing a community art gallery.

“The foundation is pleased to partner with the new center to give community members of all ages this spectacular new facility as a cultural, educational, recreational, and gathering place for years to come,” the foundation said in an announcement.

The Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation gives more than $60,000 annually for art scholarships, educational grants to schools, and community grants to area non-profits; additionally it has awarded more than $1 million for public art installations and special projects throughout Edmonds. All profit from the annual Edmonds Arts Festival goes toward funding of the Foundation’s programs. Festival dates are June 15, 16 and 17. Learn more at www.edmondsartsfestival.com

The Edmonds Senior Center is working in partnership with the City of Edmonds to replace existing beachfront facility on Railroad Avenue with the Edmonds Waterfront Center, a modern facility that will not only serve seniors, but the entire community. Established in 1968 as a nonprofit organization, the Edmonds Senior Center serves over 2,000 members with a wide variety of programming offered to members and the public.
