Edmonds CC catcher receives Gold Glove award, will play for Central Arkansas

Nathaniel Sagdahl

Catcher Nathaniel Sagdahl has been selected as a recipient of a 2018 collegiate Gold Glove award for his defensive effort this past season with the Edmonds CC Titans.

Sagdahl was one of just four Washington state collegians to receive the Gold Glove honor this year.

Sagdahl played in 20 games for the Titans this past year and committed just one error for a fielding percentage of .994.

The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Awards were selected by American Baseball Coaches Association committees at levels of play from high school up through all levels of collegiate play (NCAA Division I, II, III; NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II, III and Pacific Association Division).

The Titans finished the 2018 season with a mark of 20-7, topping the NWAC North Region standings and taking third place in the NWAC Baseball Championship tournament last month.

After finishing his first two years of collegiate play at Edmonds CC, Sagdahl has signed to attend and play for NCAA Division 1 school University of Central Arkansas in 2018-2019.
