Scene in Edmonds: Mural repair

Will you chip in to support our nonprofit newsroom with a donation today? Yes, I want to support My Edmonds News!

Edmonds artist Andy Eccleshall spent his Tuesday, June 26, repairing graffiti that had defaced this Edmonds mural, located in the alley between Second and Third Avenues, off Main Street.

The mural, which Eccleshall painted in 2011 with funding from the former Edmonds Mural Society, shows the historic Edmonds waterfront and is based off a photo of the city from 1893.

He shared his photos with us as he made repairs Tuesday.

The graffiti on the mural (photo courtesy reader Barry Erhlich), was reported to Edmonds police, Eccleshall said.

You can see Eccleshall’s work at themuralworks.com.
