The Edmonds Noon and Daybreakers Rotary Clubs on Saturday joined forces to pack snack bags for Washington Kids in Transition, which provides food for Edmonds School District homeless students each day after school.

According to Elise Hegrat of the Edmonds Noon Club, it took the two Rotary clubs less than two hours to pack approximately 4,700 bags.

“This may sound amazing, but to fill the need in the area, Washington Kids in Transition needs 1,200 bags a week,” Hegrat said. “I think we need to step up our game!”
