In anticipation of the demolition of the Edmonds Senior Center at 220 Railroad Ave., scheduled for January 2019, and to celebrate National Senior Center Month, the senior center will be conducting a big moving sale Sept. 14-16.
The sale — from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday — is open to the public. Items for sale include tables, desks, chairs, file cabinets, bookcases, books, kitchen items, office supplies, a piano, display cases, cupboards, walkers, canes, wheel chairs, bath chairs, art work and décor, arts and craft supplies, and tools.
An early bird entry fee of $5 will allow you to shop on Friday at 8 a.m. All sales are final.
“We are very excited about the moving sale because it signals the end of an era and the beginning of the new Edmonds Waterfront Center,” said Executive Director Farrell Fleming.
During the demolition and construction of the new center, the majority of the center’s programs will be relocated in Edmonds at various locations. These will be listed on the website, www.edmondssc.org, with a location map.
The senior center is continuing its fundraising campaign that has has generated just under $10 million toward its $16 million project goal. The center is located south of the ferry on the Edmonds waterfront at 220 Railroad Avenue. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday. Call 425-744-5555 to join or volunteer.
